Will Clonezilla copy a recovery partition?

I plan to use Clonezilla to upgrade my 320GB HDD to a 250GB SSD. Will Clonezilla copy a factory recovery partition (that might be hidden) too? Do I need to do anything extra for it to do so? Thanks :)

Clonezilla should be able to copy if you copy the partition as raw (sector by sector). That would be independant of the file system.

For the recovery partition, Clonezilla does work for some models of laptop, like the IBM thinkpad.
However, since there are so many models of laptop, it's hard to say Clonezilla will definitely work for all the laptops.

Yes, if you copy "device to device" you can copy all partitions. Given that the destination drive is smaller than the source, you will probably need to use the "Advanced" options. See http://clonezilla.org/show-live-doc-content.php?topic=clonezilla-live/doc/03_Disk_to_disk_clone for details.
