The browser on my Nokia 2690 is not working. All other options of internet home webpage are working, but browser is not. Please tell me what should I do? Suggest any software also.

May 26, 2012What is the specific error you get and what browser are you using? Who is your service provider? I personally recommend using Opera Mobile or Opera Mini (whichever you are able to install on your device). Both work well. Also you could try uninstalling and reinstalling your browser or search for a update of your browser. Be sure to check your data connection settings as well. If you are behind a proxy, maybe the authentication settings reset and you manually need to retype them in. Another option would be to try and perform an OTA (Over The Air) update of your phone’s PRL. The code to dial is usually *228, or some variation of the number (*22888, *22884 etc)

May 27, 2012I had the same problem with 2323c. Its all because you might have deleted opera mini. Go to applications, then find it in collection or games folder. If the opera mini is still there, try to open it. If you can, its ok. Or else, the opera mini has got corrupted. It won’t work. Delete the opera mini. You have to download opera mini from the default browser. Its a difficult task because the default browser will not allow to enter any url (don’t know if it happens with your 2690 or not. If it works then its gr8). Press ‘Goto’ scroll to web and then web services.. You’ll get ovi.mobi. Open it… Find opera mini there. Get it downloaded and use it. Remember you cannot use it as the default browser any more. Every time you access opera, you need to go to application then to collection/games. One more thing. You should configure the internet setting carefully or else it won’t work with the downloaded opera. Here are the steps. Say you are using BSNL internet. Now goto settings, click on configuration, scroll down to ‘personal configuration’. Goto option, add new, click web, do your settings, set ‘use preferred access point’ to no, goto access point setting, bearer setting, put your access point (bsnlnet in case of bsnl) in ‘packet data access point’, network type ipv4. Get back. Again select new and click access point. Do the same as said above. Get back. You’ll get the list of two. Click options then activate. Do it for both. Get back to config.settings, choose ‘default config setting’, find personal config, options, set as default. Get back then find ‘activate default in all applications, select. Now you’ll be able to connect to the opera mini you downlodd. Forget about your inbuilt opera mini…

June 14, 2012My opera mini browser is also not working best way to solve this problem is by taking few steps as 1. downloading a new browser by using home page 2.to go in settings and to set internet settings as default in all applications.

My 4GB memory card was copapted how can I solve this problem?
While performing factory reset,all the data on the phone gets removed.So,prior backup is required if data on it is important.
Did you tried to format the card in the phone itself or in PC.If you format the card in phone,then it’ll be able to read it and can store the data.

Did you tried updating them to latest version? Or else perform factory reset of your phone.
Note – Backup your data before performing factory reset.
