Sometimes after booting to desktop, taskbar & other programs fail to load even after a long time. I use bluestacks but I quit it after using. My laptop has 2gb RAM but still it it hangs.

Also sometimes windows hangs when surfing internet having opened 7+ tabs on Firefox.  For example, see this screenshot.

Kindly suggest some tips.

There are so many possible causes, it's difficult to know where to start... Here are a couple of things you can do to try and narrow things down:
    1. Start up normally and create another user (let's call it "user2". Log off and log on as users. The first time will be a bit slow (certain files need to be copied over), so when the system is ready, reboot the computer again and log on as user2. Did this go smoothly? If so, it's something in your profile. If not, it's a machine-wide issue, move on to step 2...
    2. Boot up in Safe Mode (when you switch on the computer, press F8 just before Windows starts loading, and choose "safe mode"). If this starts up OK, you can run a disk check and a virus check of the computer to eliminate those possible causes.
After this, report to us your findings and we'll take it from there...

Please note : one tip would be not to shut computer incorrectly , as directly power off the computer can cause boot problem
