Why does a deleted folder keep coming back in Android 4.0.4?

I am using ES File Explorer version 3.0.5.5, running on an UNROOTED Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.4 phone. I have created a folder named “3rd” (third season of an anime I was watching) in the default “Movies” folder from my phone’s memory–NOT from the external memory card. I deleted all the videos now in the “Movies” and “3rd” folders. So far, 3rd folder has no contents; it cannot be renamed but can be deleted and moved. If moved or deleted, it keeps coming back with no contents. I uninstalled ES Explorer and used the useless stock file explorer but same situation! Is this a virus? Bug? Or is another app recreating this folder? I use MX player for my vids.

My problem is solved now. I just deleted the folder by linking my USB cable to my PC and turning the USB storage option on. When I deleted it through my PC and refreshed the folder in my phone using ES File Explorer, it doesn't appear anymore! I think it's some kind of bug after all since when I couldn't see the folder via MTP mode, but it was there via USB storage mode..
