Why do I experience graphical and texture problems with some games?

Certain games I play have texture problems or graphical problems. It’s like weird shapes come out of nowhere and ruin the image. An example: http://i50.tinypic.com/24wztww.png

Some games include Scribblenauts Unlimited, Half-Life 2, Driver: San Fran and GTA: San Andreas.

However, other games work quite well, like Final Fantasy 7 (2012 remake), CoD Black Ops 2 and Dirt 3. What do you think is the problem?

My PC stats:
ATI Radeon 4350
Intel Core i5 @ 3.2GHz
3.3GB Usable RAM

Like much of the above responses, the likely causes for this would be out-dated drivers, incompatible graphic card. I had a similar experience once with COD and it turned out to be the graphic card drivers. All i had to do was go on the official site of the card and update the drivers. Then it worked just fine. Try to debug step-by-step and let us know what is going on. We can then possibly try to sort it out if still persists. Good Luck.

    Possible causes:
    Incompatable game
    Out-dated drivers
    Incompatable graphic card
Graphic card starting to breakdown under stress.
Not a genuine game (as in a ripped version).

I would go through those possibles one by one then post back so we can take it one step further if needed.

As far as it being a driver problem...It is possible that an older game might need older drivers. As a gamer, I've run in to the on a few different games.

Standard Settings: the slider help to adjust Performance or Quality modes
perhaps to look there and switch to quality, maybe performance mode is the cause of texture problems?

May be those games are not compatible with Windows 7 like GTA SA or they can also be glitch in games themselves. If you have genuine copies of games, you can ask about the problems in official help websites.
