I have installed IIS but I am unable to run ASP scripts on my PC. I have checked IIS but am still not able to run .ASP scripts, I have even updated my PC but still it does not work. Is there any software that will help me run ASP scripts or is there anything else that can help?

Please help guys!

After you have installed IIS or PWS follow these steps:

Look for a new folder called Inetpub on your hard drive
Open the Inetpub folder, and find a folder named wwwroot
Create a new folder, like "MyWeb", under wwwroot
Write some ASP code and save the file as "test1.asp" in the new folder
Make sure your Web server is running (see below)
Open your browser and type "http://localhost/MyWeb/test1.asp", to view your first web page

Your ASP files will have to go into this wwwroot directory or a contained sub-directory to run properly.

If you are on windows xp
you have to register the .NET framework with the IIS... to do this follow these steps:
          1. click Start-->Run
          2. type cmd and press Enter
          3. go to c:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\(Installed version )
          write the following command:
          aspnet_regiis.exe -i
          you should see such messages:
          Start installing ASP.NET (...).
          Finished installing ASP.NET (...).\

    Are you getting error messages?

click Start -> Run type "services.msc" this will bring up your services panel. check to see it IIS services are running.
