Why can’t I install windows 7 even though I can use Windows 8 or XP?

I am using Windows 8 on my desktop comuter. It has 1 GB RAM, a 2.40 GHz core processor and a 25 GB hard disk. My problem is after I set up Windows 8 on my PC,  I can use it. However, when I want to install Windows 7, I can’t set up it up on my PC. I was even able to set up Windows XP over Windows 8, but Windows 7 won’t install. Please suggest a solution. I hate Windows 8!  Until I die I will never use Windows 8.

Try booting from DVD instead of trying to install by opening from it from Windows Explorer.

Is it possible you are trying to install the 64-bit version of Windows 7?
As this version would requires at least 2GB of RAM (in addition to a 64-bit capable CPU).

Also at which point does the Windows 7 installation fail? Once you reached the GUI of the installation it should tell you straight ahead why it won't install on your system.

If the installation fails before you even reach the GUI then it might be a bad installation media.

That's true 25gb is a very strange number think you missed a nought of it 250gb sounds more like it, can you tell us what maks you PC is then we can look for our self, you can just format the drive then install Win 7.

Are you sure the machine has just 1 gig of Ram and a 25 gig hard drive? It seems highly unlikely unless the machine is very old.

Yeah, 25 GB isn't really enough space for Windows 7 or 8 to run on.
