When I try to download a picture on Facebook the loading bar turns blue and goes about half way and then stops and the pictures are not downloaded. I have updated my Adobe Flash and it still doesn’t work. What else can i do?

it could be due to some compatiblity error or not correct loading due since fb hosts photos on complex CDN's

since u r on firefox use this app to download photos easily https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/fluschipranie/

If none of the previously stated options fix the problem, I'd recommend trying another browser such as Chrome or Opera. Sometimes some browsers are incompatible with certain functions on some sites.

Enter about:config in the address bar. A list of preferences will appear. Scroll through the list ( or type browser.download in the Filter box) and reset any of the following preferences that have a user set status (right-click on the preference and click "Reset"):
    browser.download.dir
    browser.download.downloadDir
    browser.download.folderList
    browser.download.lastDir
    browser.download.useDownloadDir

Firstly, clear your browser cache, cookies, and history etc.

Then.check whether your internet is working properly or not i.e. no latency. There might be also some background softwares, browser tabs consuming bandwidth of your internet too.

So,try downloading the picture closing or pausing other bandwidth consuming stuffs.

In most any browser, just find the picture you want to download and drag it to your desktop or other folder on your computer. That's it.

If you mean UPLOAD, the #1 reason this usually doesn't work is ad-blocking or script-blocking in your browser. Make sure anything you have in your browser to block ads is at least temporarily set to allow activity on Facebook.com

And as always, when all else fails, make sure you do have the latest browser, the latest plug-ins, and try restarting your computer.

Finally be patient. If your internet connection isn't superfast, even photos can take a while. Sometimes just because the indicator isn't moving doesn't mean nothing is happening. Wait a few more minutes and navigate back to your Facebook page. It might actually be there.
