CS 6 is great but you might be better off going with CS 3 or CS 4

I think CS3 will run best - less waiting time. Saying that CS4 and CS5 should be able to run on your computer but it will be slow

You could use the CS3 version because it does not consume much resources

Also why dont you upgrade your computer?a modern custom built with celeron processor(a g555 will be good) and h61 mobo(maybe a biostar h61mgv),8gb ram(ram are cheap nowadays)and a 500gb sata 3 hdd wont cost you much.around 200$ only.also you can easily run cs5 on it.

Cs4.or upgrade your computer.also ram nowadays are quite cheap, but yours is ddr 260,more expensive and less fast than ddr2 and ddr3

I think CS3 will be a good idea after going through the details you've provided.! higher version takes more resources!

My, talk about a totally complete descriptions. I'd say to use CS3. Plugins, brushes, and most resources work well in all versions you have and CS3 isn't a bad product either. It's actually my favorite version. CS5 has more fancy features but might be unneeded at all.

I too have a celeron processor and pretty much similar config. I have recently installed windows 8 and using cs6. the cs6 starts up slow but works fine.
