Which one of these laptops should I buy?

Siddharth Preetam asks:

I want to buy a new laptop and have narrowed it down to two choices. The two laptops are:

1. HP Pavilion M6-1103TX or

2. HP Pavilion DV6-7040TX

The specifications are mostly the same – the primary difference between the two being the chipset and the graphic processor. How do I decide which is better?

Well… looking at the configs of both these laptops, I would say.. go for the HP Pavilion DV6-7040TX. I haven’t used it though. But at least there are lots of positive reviews.

However, both of these are gaming laptops. The DV6-7040TX has a better processor, better chipset and cache. NVidia’s GeForce 630M is a a good take for gaming too. Your call now :)

you got to be kidding me ! Since there is almost no difference in the prices …
I would recommend the second choice straightaway ….

~ HP Pavilion DV6-7040TX Laptop 3rd Gen i7/6GB/750GB/2GB Graphics/Win 7 HP with Beats Audio

the Good -
1) Core i7 (3rd Generation) ; the difference in processor is vital, you may not notice the difference when the device is new out of the bag…but when you start loading programs and games, that is when Core i7 rules …. LIKE A BOSS !

2)Graphic Processor – Nvidia GeForce 630M
Nvidia GeForce is far better than AMD when it comes to gaming, get the second choice DV6 if you do not want your money go in vain.

3) Higher Cache Memory – so faster running and loading of apps

4) BEATS HD Audio…

No way you can ignore all these. Happy buying.

I would recommend DV6 as it is worth of the cost. The graphics are marvellous. I bought it for 54k INR in express avenue mall.

The GPU on the HP Pavilion DV6-7040TX is better for gaming, and with beats the sound should be better too.

I would recommend HP Pavilion DV6-7040TX is better in terms of processor as this will give faster processing than the other one (M6-1103TX). Although you will not notice any difference. If you are using more for games than go for DV6 other wise for normal use go for M6 and you will save some money. All depends what is purpose of requirements.

What is going to be it’s primary use? For play (gaming, music, etc), then I would definetly go with the DV6-7040TX with the graphics card and audio (quad speakers) that comes with it. The M6-1103TX is good for work purposes (depending on what you do for a living) with the TrueVision HD Cam for video conferencing, etc.

Go with HP Pavilion M6-1103TX as the next model you suggested has i7 processor and is near to the price of M6 model. So,you could assume some corner cuttings there. This fact must clear all your doubts to choose your laptop.
