Which Android app can correctly tell the device’s processor strength and cores without having to depend on specifications from external sources?
The manufacturer and digital media give specs of processor but is there an android app which can directly tell the processor strength from within device?

      Thank you

I installed and tried the app and it displayed many hardware specs

Appending a subquestion : Does it actually look into hardware and provide the specs as they are , or does it outsource the specs from the phone's information provider source?

I mean if the phone has stored the hardware specs irrespective and/or different from actual specs then the app would receive the information from the "stored' source which thus would not be actual specs

On other hand if it "looks" into the hardware directly ( and not receive from a stored source of specs ) the result would be direct

Well it does benchmark and it should read the hardware to give the cpu info, otherwize will be fake.

      try this also CPU SPY
      https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bvalosek.cpuspy
simple app to display the time the CPU spends in each frequency state.

      A1 CPU Tool

I use System Tuner Pro on my rooted phones to tweak the CPU speed and voltage settings, SD card cache settings, and many other tweaks, but it also gives quite a bit of information about the CPU as in speed, architecture type, temperature, etc., internal and external storage information, and more.
    "Notifications:
    - Show cpu load, frequency, governor, free/used memory (flash/internal/sd)
    - Show most information (cpu, memory, internal, SD)
    - Optionally shows a configurable graphic time-line
    - Provided as external packages, many available

    Widget:
    - Many different widget backgrounds: HTC Sense 2/3, Google, Glassy, ICS.
    - Show cpu load, frequency, governor, free/used memory (flash/internal/sd)"

The information that you are looking for can be found using this app, whether the phone is rooted or not. I'm sure that there are other apps that can do similar, but this is what I am familiar with. The free version would suffice to find the information about your device hardware specifications.

Android Hardware Info is the one you want. It doesn't require an internet connection and it is free. I use it on my phone and on my tablet and it provides an extensive list of the hardware specs. Download the app from: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dama.hardwareinfo&hl=en
