I would like to hear your suggestion about a DMM (Digital Multimeter) that can be recommended for a computer technician! Of course, what I would also like are cheap ones!
Anyway, I would appreciate your suggestion!
Thanks in advance,
Erlis

In the IT program I am in, we have only used the DMM one time. The reason we used it is so we could say: "Yup, we used it!" Literally, that is the only time any of use have used one. I would think a PSU tester would be more helpful.

I haven't found a DMM to be that useful for computer repair.

I fixed pc's for years and the only time I used a multimeter was to check the PSU's, you can get a cheap psu tester that might actually be more useful
    something like http://www.amazon.co.uk/Power-Supply-Tester-With-Display/dp/B004IO5CT8/
The wriststrap listed underneath is also a must!
A multimeter would be more useful if you were thinking of actually repairing components like the motherboard but for the price these days it really isn't worth it....

Well, not exactly cheap, but if you want a good multimeter you don't get much better than Fluke, so perhaps the Fluke 113 (e.g. http://www.testequipmentdepot.com/fluke/dmm/113.htm)?

If your budget won't go that far, consider this http://www.amazon.com/Klein-Tools-MM200-Ranging-Multimeter/dp/B003LCITWA/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1369165758&sr=8-12&keywords=digital+multimeter or even this one http://www.amazon.com/Equus-3320-Auto-Ranging-Digital-Multimeter/dp/B000EVYGZA/ref=cm_cr_dp_asin_lnk .
