What should I look for in a digital photo frame?

Andrew Rossaak asks:

I am looking to buy a digital photo frame and would like to know what features I should look for and if there were any particular brands that were better than others. How much memory should it have, or should I use a USB memory stick or other flash storage? What about Wi-Fi connection? What size is best?

Thanks!

instead of photo frames, i’d recommend buying a cheap android tablet.
they will be cheaper than digital photo frames and you can do like everything on them.. :D
of course you can use quickpic and set picture slideshows to use as your digital photo frame.

with the revolution of technology, you should always choose one with the best feature… Here are some I think you must check for:
#Go for screen resolution a minimum of 640 * 480.. Go for higher
# you’ll get frames of size 7 to 15 inches. Most model comes with 7 to 10 inches. The higher you go, the more you pay.
#as most cameras shoot with aspect ratio of 4:3, so you should go for 4:3 frame to fit your photo the best. as 16:9 frames will have to crop a piece of the top and bottom of your photos to fit the image on the LCD. On the flip side, a 16:9 aspect ratio gives your images a pleasing widescreen feel.
# go for an accelerometer enabled frame with video additin such that you can enjoy photos and videos both in landscape and portrait view.
#Wifi is a great option to get your facebook or picasa photos in your frame. Even there are text feed features too…
#usb storage is good but why to use a 32 gb pendrive where you get a micro sd for a lower price than pendrive? You can go for more storage according to the frame support.

Compare your choice with products from Sony, Toshiba, Kodak… You know what you need and obviously your budget….
