What is the best Android ROM for Galaxy Y other than jellyblast?

I have a Samsung Galaxy Y. I wanted to install a custom ROM on it. I rooted the phone correctly and downloaded and installed latest version of jelly blast.

Rom works fast and smooth, but it has one problem: everything on screen appears bigger than it should. For example in dialer screen some of the numbers are invisible because others are big, or in drawer (menu) some menu items are invisible in down.

I am asking what other ROM is best for my phone, or how can I switch back to original Samsung ROM?

Rom Creed v4 is very smooth. and I think this is the best one. It doesn't have must pre-installed application in it and it has a lot of free space , so you can just download what ever you want and have the rest of the space, which keeps up the speed.

Yes, you can. I too think Nemesis One isn't good. The Installer was awesome, but the background colour of the menus are lame. I thougt it would become totally pro. but hopes down. :(

Hyperion 8 ROM by CarlDeanCatabay (now he's user is banned on XDA Developers), it's my favorite and current ROM.

For the screen density change, you can safely use this root utility : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.apps.build.prop.editor You just have to change this line : "ro.sf.lcd_density" . It's generally set to 240 dpi for phones, I'm currently using 200 dpi. Lower values mean somewhat higher screen resolution, it's confusing but true. Beware that changing dpi's may cause bootloops, locks or other strange things. Make sure you have backups first.

You could change the pixel setting in the build.prop file to make everything fit the screen. There really is no need to change ROMs if that is your only issue since it is a quick and easy fix. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.innodroid.dpichanger&hl=en is an app to use if you don't feel comfortable using Root Explorer and opening the build.prop within the "/system" folder to edit the DPI density setting. You should, however, backup the build.prop file before making changes. I think the DPI density is supposed to be 160 for stock and 120 for better viewing capabilities.
