What are the best DIY filmmaking channels on YouTube?

Osama Javaid asks:

I want to subscribe to some good DIY filmmaking channels on YouTube. I already subscribed to few and I don’t want to get overwhelmed so please recommend only the best DIY filmmaking channels.

I do not want channels with short films, I want channels with DIY filmmaking tips, tricks and techniques.

Thanks.

Indy Mogul’s (http://www.youtube.com/indymogul) has hundreds of great DIY filmmaking tutorials. Indy Mogul is mostly based around practical effects (those created in real life, not on a computer) but some portions of episodes do require software such as After Effects or Final Cut. The bad news is that they are now under new management so the content generated at the moment is not up to their past work. The good news is that the channel’s previous work is still available on their page and there are more tutorials than you could possibly watch so look at the top rated.

Film Riot (http://www.youtube.com/filmriot) is another very good source for DIY filmmakers. They provide more computer effects tutorials than Indy Mogul but they do have some videos covering DIY camera rigs and such. The end result in Film Riot’s videos usually looks very professional.

In my opinion, these are the two best DIY filmmaking channels on YouTube. If you combine techniques from both, you should be able to hack yourself a pretty good flick.
