What website or app can help me improve my writing skills?

Ok, there is an app that reminds me to write 750 words, but what if all these words are useless/meaningless ?
I want to improve my vocabulary while writing regularly; i.e. learn new words and correct grammar mistakes. Is there an app/site that helps me do this?

P.S. I started writing a blog few months back and usually don’t have words to elaborate what I am writing about after I have written a few lines on that topic.

How about taking online writing courses - from MIT?

As far as correcting grammatical errors, you can use MS Word and other word processors. Most have built-in spelling and grammar checkers. The MS Word one always annoys me though when I am writing technical papers because it just does not like long sentences, even if they are grammatically correct.

For vocabulary building you can use http://www.vocabulary.com/ or http://www.enhancemyvocabulary.com/
