I just checked the Proxvpn article here on MUO and found that the VPN applications can be tricky. I am looking for monthly subscription service and client that works on linux. What are some good option for linux users?

No Problems works great. No issues at all. Highly recommend them. Software setup is so easy takes no more than 10 seconds to set up and that's included installation time.I have yet to see any downtime from them. http://vpnpaid.com/hidemyassvpn-review.php

OpenVPN is SSL/TLS based user-space VPN. Supports Linux, Solaris, OpenBSD, FreeBSD, NetBSD, Mac OS X, and Windows 2000/XP.

As far as I know, every linux distro supports connecting to a VPN natively. If not, there are additional pacjages you can find in the repos.
