How do I upload an image from my computer and get a link for it?

Rajdeep Chamaria asks:

I want to upload the image and get a link which takes me to the image.

The image may open in a new tab or window. But only the image should open, like the one in the link provided, and there should be no buttons and all around it.

But I got this photo on Google images and pasted the link after opening it full sized. I want to upload a photo of myself and not make it public. I mean is there a website for this or any other safer way?

Thanks in advance!

Everyone on Reddit uses either Imgur.com or Minus.com because they allow dragging and dropping photos. After you upload, it shows several kinds of links, for forums, e-mail and more.

I use http://tinypic.com/
It’s very simple to use; you can upload pictures and videos very easily and resize them before the download or after. Once the upload has completed it gives you multiple different links for different purposes.

1) HTML for websites – this gives you a link to insert into HTML code for a website for example:

2) IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards – This gives you a link for forums and signatures etc… For example:

3) URL for Email & IM – This link you can send out to people and will bring them back to this page with the options to get the different links for example: http://tinypic.com/r/2cxhrp0/5

4) Direct Link for Layouts – This link when clicked will bring you to a blank page with nothing but your picture on it for example: http://i40.tinypic.com/2cxhrp0.jpg
