Umapathi Mahesh asks:
I bought a Wpad 7′ tablet PC on www.wickedleak.org which is Android 2.2, I want to upgrade to Android 2.3. How can I do that?

August 4, 2012Hello Umapathi!
Your situation is very strange – first of all, some claim that the Wpad
7 can upgrade to Honeycomb (3), while others claim it can only go up to
Gingerbread. As a tablet, you would definitely want Honeycomb as
Gingerbread is not really designed for tablets. Froyo even less so.
Second, there doesn’t appear to be any resources available to download
the firmware update.
The only suggestion that I have is to attempt a manual update from
within either Google Play (which is what this
site suggests doing) or from within the operating system itself.
Manual
Update: WiFi must be turned on and connected in order for this
process to work.
Step one: Go to Settings.
Step two: Go to “About Tablet”
Step three: Go to Software Update
It should update after that point. However, not all devices are
compatible with this method.

August 4, 2012Ask the manufacturer if your tablet can support an upgrade, some device can’t be updated. Go to settings > about > update then choose how to update.
