August 23, 2011You can update your phone by using Kies software.It’s a PC software designed to download apps to phone(when connected to PC),sync files to PC by Samsung.
For this software to work the minimum requirements for your PC must be -
1 GB RAM,
Windows XP XP3,
300 MB of free hard disk space.
You must have .net framework 4.0 client version preinstalled as this software works on this.

Go to some authorized Samsung Service centre and let them play with your device..
One of my friend tried.. and ended up corrupting his IMEI.. That great device his now nothing more than an ipod..

August 24, 2011Agree with you.Kies runs too much slowly on older machines.It’s a resource hog.But you have no other way than using the Kies.Due to it’s slow response,there are many complaints of getting user’s device bricked.
Atleast your friendis lucky enough to be able to use his phone as an ipod.

August 25, 2011Do you know that latest version of Kies has no option for Samsung Apps which used to be on middle left side by default.This shows that they have very little concern for Bada platform.Don’t take me wrong.I’m not bashing Samung,but such ignorance is not good as it prevents users from downloading apps through PC.They have a big R&D department in India for developing Bada and they know that mobile internet is very costly here.

As replied previously,you can update your phone and get apps,themes etc. by two methods mentioned below –
Using phone – Go to settings–>Software Update–>Sign in with your Samsung account or create a new account if you haven’t created before.Then it will ask you to agree to terms and conditions.Agree to it.Then it will update your phone automatically.During update your phone may restart so you must leave your phone undisturbed.
Since the update size is approximately 160 MB you must have a good internet data plan to download such a update or you can connect your phone to your friends wi-fi to allow faster update.
Using PC – You can update your phone using PC. For this to work the minimum requirements for your PC must be -
1 GB RAM(2 GB recommended),
Windows XP XP3,
300 MB of free hard disk space,
.Net framework 4.0 client version preinstalled.
Then install Samsung Kies which you can get by visiting the link below –

May 18, 2012You must change your settings to install apps in memory card( Settings –>Applications –> Installation Settings –> Memory card).
The only current solution to free up your phone’s internal memory is to move all photos,videos,songs and other files to memory card which can be done very quickly by connecting your phone to PC via mass storage mode.
Regarding apps,delete those apps from phone memory that have available updates and install those apps freshly in memory card.If you use to sync your phone to PC using Kies,make sure to set it to use memory card as priority storage location which can be set in the settings menu.

Then might be your memory card is full.Then all you can do is backup your contents of memory card and format it in your phone and NOT IN PC.

Settings–>Memory–>Clear phone memory–>select all(or you can select what to delete) and then it’ll ask for password(00000 by default) and will ask for confirmation and tap on yes.

May 28, 2012I think that your phone is testing your patience.You’d heard right that your phone will never get any OS upgrade (bada 2.0 upgrade) due to hardware limitations.Moreover,Samsung is still mum regading value pack update which will give user a glimpse of Bada 2.0 features.
You can try uninstalling those apps and see whether your phone’s internal memory is gaining any space or not.As according to your problem,I think that your apps are still getting installed in your phone’s internal memory.
At last,if it still doesn’t works then backup your important data to another location like PC and fully delete apps,games,music from your phone.Then format its internal as well as external memory.
If still it doesn’t works,try to get minor updates that’s been left out for your phone through Kies.

It depends upon Samsung and they had promised to give value pack update to wave 523 and those users who wont get full update.
