Why do my unsent Facebook messages disappear?

Lana Fritz asks:

Often my unfinished and unsent Facebook messages disappear. What am I doing wrong? How can I make sure they are saved?

this is a matter with the FB servers.. I had it once too..

If you do not send a message, it has not been sent to Facebook yet and if the page is closed or the session ends they may disappear. If you’re writing anything importany, maybe draft it in an offline document first.
