Why can I not un-mute sound until I restart on my Dell Mini?

Mburu Solista asks:

Every time I press mute on my netbook, a Dell Mini 1018, the sound can’t un-mute till I restart the netbook. I try pressing again, but in vain. What could be the problem?

Uninstall the sound driver reboot and let windows to reinstall a new one or search driver here

go to run and types services.msc this will open Services window look for Windows audio then double click on it and set it to automatic (Startup type). go to run and type taskmgr then under services look if AudioSrv is started.

you can also try microsoft fix it
