How can I uninstall Folx?

Linda asks:

I am trying to uninstall Folx, and it won’t let me! I try to put in Trash, and I get “The operation cannot be completed b/c the item ‘FolxNetscapePlugIn’ is in use.” Help!

Try App Zapper (free trial) or AppTrap(free).

Note: This is from Apple’s discussion board (Google Cache) and I can’t verify the authenticity of these tools, as I am not a Mac user.

If you put the program in the Trash, there is no such error message; that would only happen if you try to empty the Trash. Because the plug-in is still in use (and there’s an alias to the plug-in in your Library>Internet Plug-Ins folder, you would need to Logout of your account, then log back in and empty the Trash.

Alternately, you could use the Activity Manager to Force Quit the plug-in and then empty the Trash.
