    Hi
    Try to open as administrateur.

Windows Photo and Slideshow Problems, Microsoft fix ithttp://support.microsoft.com/mats/windows_photo_and_slideshow_diag/en-us

. For the fix, rebuild your database by:

    1. Close Windows Live Photo Gallery
    2. Click Start
    3. Click My Computer
    4. Paste this address in the Address field %userprofile%Local SettingsApplication DataMicrosoftWindows Live Photo Gallery
    5. Right click Pictures.pd5
    6. Click Rename
    7. Change the file name to OLD_Pictures.pd5X(X=number)
    8. Open Windows Live Photo Gallery

or do  uninstall for Photo Gallery only (make backup of your photos...), via clicking on Windows Live Essentials in the programs list, then choosing to remove Photo Gallery / Movie Maker only. Then go to c:Program Files (x86)/Windows Live directory and delete the Photo Gallery folder. Try to clean registry with CCleaner or Glary utilities...Then redownload the soft again and install
