You can use Proxy, IP spoofing, or third party that hides your ip address and give an UK ip address to yourself. For phone, VOIP using skype or whatever VOIP they have in UK is possible as long as you're connected to the internet.

I am in Asia. I want Amazon to verify my existance. They will be calling from USA. But they wont call Asia. So I need a UK number that will transfer them directly to my mobile phone in Asia. Thanks Phil filmitchell@hotmail.com

As recommended above for an IP address using some VPN would be the best and easy option.

What desentizised suggested should work but the Tor network may be slow depending on your geo location. Hotspotshield http://hotspotshield.com/ should work pretty nicely if you visit UK sites.

For a phone number try sipgate.co.uk. I think that the number and incoming calls are free.

Let me know if this works for you

    Getting a UK IP:
    1) Download and install expatshield as mentioned above OR
    2) UK VPN service (both free and paid) e.g. http://www.hideipvpn.com/

    Getting a UK phone number:
    1) If you are familiar with skype then you can get a skypein number with a local area code like 020 (London) etc. You could also divert this to your Asian number
    2) There are alternative providers like localphone.com where you can also rent a local area phone number.

How this works best (either skype or localphone or similar):
    1) you rent a UK number (monthly, quarterly etc)
    2) you divert this number on your local Asian number. This incurs a cost per minute on top of the rental charges but well worth it in my opinion to have this facility

Just write "StrictExitNodes 1" and "ExitNodes {gb}" into your torrc-file after installing Tor (www.torproject.org) on your system to get a UK-IP.

If you need instructions on how to do so head over to my blog and read Part 1 of my Solution: http://m-kuttner.com/blog/2010/08/16/squeeze-spotify-through-the-proxy-tube/

The only way to get an IP Address identified as being from the UK is either a non-transparent Proxy or a VPN-Endpoint within the UK.

Proxy will only work if the Software supports it (e.g. your browser)
Virtual Private Network will work for ALL internet data

Since I haven't used any of those I leave recommendations up to others.

The easiest and least expensive way to get an UK phone number probably is to signup for a "pay as you go" service with a UK Service Provider e.g. http://www.t-mobile.co.uk
