How can I transfer music from iPod Nano to iTunes Cloud service?

Pat asks:

I just purchased the Cloud service from iTunes. I have burned several CDs onto a laptop and synced my iPod with those songs. However, I do not have that laptop anymore. I want to transfer the songs from my iPod Nano to the Cloud, but don’t know how.

Since you said purchased I suppose you are referring to the iTunes Match service.

The iTunes Match service does require a computer with iTunes installed. It will match all songs within iTunes to the one available in the iTunes Store. Those that can’t be matched will be uploaded from your computer (and count towards the 25.000 song limit).

In your case you would have to copy the music from your iPod nano to a computer with iTunes installed.
