I wanna buy a mobile phone. It must be a Samsung keypad (non-qwerty) phone, available in India for ~RS5000. It must have a clear display, should not be a touch phone. Camera quality ain’t not an issue.

    Samsung S3770:
Samsung S3770 is a touchscreen with 2MP camera and 16 GB expandable memory. You get WiFi as well as 3G connectivity in this phone. The phone comes with Bluetooth, excellent music and video features and FM. The standby time of the phone is superb – 800 hours. The only drawback of the phone is that it is not dual SIM. The cost is around Rs. 4700.

    Samsung Champ Deluxe:
Samsung Champ Deluxe is a touch screen phone which comes with 16 GB expandable memory, Bluetooth, FM, dual SIM, video and 1.3 MP camera. The battery runs for 500 hours of standby. The phone does not have 3G and WiFi. The phone is very lightweight and weights just 89.7 gm. It is priced between Rs 3500 and Rs. 3700.

I think that the Samsung Galaxy III phone is pretty cool. I am not sure if they are coming out with a IV or not soon though. This phone does a lot of awesome stuff! Sharing playlists and photos just my touching phones together. How cool is that! If that isn't your bag, maybe the new Iphone 5 would work for you.

      Charles,

Rs. 5000 or INR 5000 actually equates to around US $ 90. I wonder which Sammmy Galaxy S III or iPhone 5 will come at that price point. :)

Sorry, didn't know the exchange rate on that. You are correct. Only knockoffs would be that much I think.

I am at a lose on this one. I have had nothing but smartphones with touch screens. I have had some that had a flip out keyboard for texting. I usually get my phones for free when I sign up for a new phone. Is that an option for you?

Even if Samsung Galaxy iii and Iphone 5 would be in the price range, the question clearly states that 'no touchscreen'. He is looking for a phone with physical numeric keypad.

Samsung Primo Duos is for 3500,
you can also look for others in hero and metro series.
though i would suggest that if you are looking for a feature phone, choose nokia over samsung. they are still the no. 1 in that dept.

Oops later realized you have written SHOULD NOT be a touch phone which by mistake I have read as SHOULD be a touch phone.. What I suggest is go to http://www.samsung.com/in/#latest-home and then hover the mouse over Consumer Products, then under it Mobile Phones and then mobile phone category of your choice. Click it and checkout the model and price is also mentioned. Also you can filter out the models then with the choice of upto Rs. 5,000 filter. :) I hope you find your model of choice.
