Why is the sound not working on my Windows 8 laptop?

The sound on my Samsung laptop with Windows 8 suddenly disappeared and the device is reported to be working properly. What to do? I checked the sound volume and it’s full everywhere. They say the device is working properly in the device manager, but I can’t hear sounds at all. Windows Media Player also can’t play songs.

before your problem, did you installed/uninstalled any application?

      1) well go to device manager
      2) right click on the audio driver
      3) choose uninstall (do not delete)
      4) Reboot.

also check in BIOS if Audio is not disables

    No sound in Windows

go to step 2 and download The audio troubleshooter

if you made windows restore point earlier then use it to revert back the system
