Mark O'Neill asks:
I would like to convert / rip blogs to PDF files so I can read their archives offline. But I can’t seem to find anything suitable. I want to be able to just type in the URL and right away, the app gets to work in the background, ripping all the pages in the site to PDF files (or failing that HTML files). Then I can download them all to my PC for offline reading.
I Googled the problem but all I can seem to find is the suggestion to use Adobe Acrobat Pro. But that has only a 30 day trial version limit and I want something free that I can use forever.

April 14, 2012Softwares related to PDF are very rare and sometimes difficult to find.If some softwares are found, some of them don’t work perfectly we desire.
HTML to PDF converter software –

In case you are not satisfied with the quality of PDF files generated by the above software then you can use HTTrack software –

April 14, 2012Not sure about the all the pages but for individual pages you can use
pdfmyurl.com
or better
download bullzip virutal printer http://www.bullzip.com/products/pdf/info.php and just print your page selecting bullzip printer in the printer preferences and your page would be converted to pdf without relying on any site

April 16, 2012Thanks guys but a lot of these suggestions involve ripping individual webpages one by one. I’m talking about something that takes a URL and rips the whole site for me in one go, and one or two clicks.
If the site in question is huge, sitting and ripping each individual page would become a mind numbing experience
Right now I can only think of Acrobat Pro. It has an option that allows you to save an entire page including several “sub-levels” to an PDF.

This option is available on both Acrobat Pro for Windows and Mac.

That’s only for individual webpages. I want to download whole websites.
I am going to try HT Track. I found it the other day while surfing Reddit when someone asked the same question as I.

June 7, 2012You can save the web site as html. This will give you two items in your saved area, html page and a folder of the page with jpgs and all other things to do with the page. You then can open open office and edit out what you do not want and save as a pdf when done. You may want to practice at it to get it right and then when satisfied you can erase the original html page and folder.
