jdmoon asks:
My wife and I take quite a few prescription pills at various times during the day. Is there a free app or program to remind us or anybody to take our meds on time, especially when working on the computer? Thanks for any suggestions. Keep up the good work.

February 4, 2011I don’t know of any “medical software” for that but I would give any calendar program a chance. Just add a reoccuring event for everything.
For example “0800, Pill 1, reoccur every day”, “1400, Pill 2, every day” etc.
Thanks for the help. I will try the calender. It could help us out a lot. Again, thank you

I went to this site and it seems like something I could use. I’ll show my wife and let you know. Thanks a bunch.

February 5, 2011I’d suggest VueMinder Calendar Lite. It’s free, very easy to use, and runs in the background when your computer starts. It can be also configured to play sounds when reminders come due, in case you’re in another room.

The best will be online reminders so that you can also recive a call to remind you for taking medication.

March 30, 2011Here’s an article that you would probably be interested in. I just happened across it today looking for the same thing. I’ve been having problems. I just emailed them asking for some more information on it. There are articles out there about it, but I have specific questions that I haven’t found answers to. Anyways, it’s called a GlowCap.
