Hello, this would be easier to answer is you at least provide us with your operating system.  For example, if you are using windows 7, you can use sound recorder.  In order for you to record what is playing in your computer you will need a microphone.  After recording is finished, all you have to do is convert to mp3. Here is what you do:

    -- plug microphone
    -- click on start
    -- All programs
    -- Accesories
    -- click on sound recorder
-- start playing sound you want recorded
-- on sound recorder, click on start recording
-- click on stop, save file to folder
-- recorded content will have a wma extension
    -- check your recording

    XP:

    -- plug microphone to computer
    -- click on start
    -- all programs
    -- accesories
    -- entertainment
    -- sound recorder
-- play what you want recorded
-- on menu, click on file and then new
    -- click on record
-- click on stop and save recording
-- recorded material will have .wav extension.
