What software do you recommend to install to check file hashs?

I’m running XP and would like to know what free software that I can install to verify the file integrity before I run/install them on my machine?

My personal suggestions are:
NirSoft HashMyFiles offers MD5 and SHA1
nullriver WinMD5Sum

Hi Neil,

I developed Hashy (MD5 & SHA-1) some time ago, it’s fairly simple to use and free. If you don’t like that, Microsoft has a command line utility called File Checksum Integrity Verifier
