Why do software manager and updater crash in Kubuntu 12.4?

Do you install any software or update any software but get an error? if yes, then it has an effect on that, just go clean your installation so there is no error log upgrade in your computer

it happens might be there is a problem in the packages ,,
ensuring that the computer was connected to the internet and all updates downloaded properly while ubuntu was being installing solves the problem

try using Ubuntu with KDE installed. install KDE Desktop with “sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop” then you’ll have 3 sessions : KDE Plasma Workspace, Ubuntu (Unity), and Ubuntu 2D (Unity 2D).

Please provide more details. Error messages, error codes, any other messages, etc. Describe what exactly you are doing when Software Manager crashes.

Did you have any problems installing Ubuntu?
Do any other programs crash?
