What is the shortcut to hide or show the command bar in Internet Explorer?
Question by Dave /

I have an issue with some sites hiding the command bar when they open a new window in Internet Explorer. I recall seeing a shortcut key to hide or show this bar a while back, but cannot for the life of me recall the shortcut key(s). Can anyone assist me with this?

F11 'maximises' your IE window (that is, it gets rid of the frame and most toolbars) but if the toolbar disappears when you open a particular site, then that is done under JavaScript control and you can't bring it back by pressing F11.
If this is a major problem, use Firefox instead and install the 'NoScript' add-on which would allow you to disable JavaScript on those sites.

Which version of IE are you using?
Did you try hitting the alt key or F11?
