Are you using the correct driver?

In general you can add a Wireless Printer like any other IP Printer within Mac OS X:
    1. Open System Preferences
    2. click on Print & Fax
    3. click the + (plus) to add a Printer
4a. if the Printer is showing within Bonjour select it
4b. if the Printer is not showing up select IP at the top and enter the Printers IP
    5. in either case make sure the hp Printer driver is selected at Print using

If the Printer driver is not installed or downloaded automatically you have to manually download and install it:

HP Printer Drivers v.2.6 for Mac OS X v10.6
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907

HP Driver for Mac OS X 10.4 10.5 (also for 10.6 but I would try the one from Apple first)
