How can I set an appointment in Google Calendar via email?

I don’t have a smartphone. I would like to be able to email myself to my GMail account (or some website) and get it as a Google Calendar appointment. I found a website called Eventbot. Is it good?

you don’t need a smart phone to get sms !
go to calendar settings
click on mobile set up
