I recommend Blue Voda http://www.bluevoda.com/ you don’t need to know how to code and it’s free.

You should read MUO articles on website builder

There are many ‘paid for’ services that will offer you everything from the web address to the site. The type of sites offered these days cover just about everything from forums to stores etc. Have a look at vBulletin that is one of the more popular sites with many plans to choose from plus help in building the site you want.

if you do a quick google search it will come up with many “takeaway” website creators that you can simply sign up and design a website for free, then if you want a domain name you pay for that. 1&1 offer there own website builder in their hosting package I believe so might be worth a check.

you will need a website builder with a shopping cart to sell your products. It all depends on
-will you build the website yourself ? lots of tools available and many are free check your free products from your hosting service or look answers below. it is easy.
-many entities are willing to develop this for you- depends how much are you willing to spend.

Depends what you are looking for. If you inexperienced in creating webpages, you might want to go with Squarespace.

If you are more advanced and prefer to be in control of each part of the website creation process, use WordPress.

You should definitely checkout Breezi. It’s a website builder that comes complete with Apps that allow you to add images, videos and many more other features to your site. They have recently released a layout builder that allows complete customization of the layout of your site. You can even ad Wazala as an eCommerce feature for your online thrift store. Visit them at http:breezi.com

Good luck!

You need an hosting provider who takes security seriously.
Buy a dedicated hosting than shared hosting as it is far more safer.
Buy an SSL from your hosting provider.
Register an account for a payment gateway to make transactions.
Contact a web developer or some one well versed with Web Dev and to help you setup an website preferably use a CMS like WordPress as it is easy to update.
Make sure you update the CMS as soon as an update is available and DO NOT use pirated themes or plugins as they might have an backdoor.

I have not used it, but friends that have done some homework on this recommend http://www.bigcommerce.com

It is pretty robust and quick to set up, but does have a monthly fee.

There is a 15 day free trial.

Hi Jesus:

I’m here looking for some info too…Small world, eh?

I’m not a guru but I’ll share with you a few things I know.

First of all, the fact that you want an ‘ecommerce’ website most likely means that some of the obvious choices (like Weebly, Blinkweb, Poserous, Tumblr, Sidengo. and others) won’t do. That’s due to the fact that an ecommerce site doesn’t cater so much to pure text but moreso to images and descriptive information about the products featured.

But I can tell you that if you Google “free ecommerce software”, “free ecommerce platforms”, “free ecommerce sites”, or “open source ecommerce” you will find a few.

There’s a guy named Sam Baker (I might not be spelling that last name totally correct but it’s pretty close) who has had several courses out about making money with ecommerce. He seems to be pretty credible to you could Google the name.

Depending upon the load (i.e. the quantity of items) you contemplate in your endeavor, you might still be happy with some of the standard type free blogging platforms. And…certainly we can’t leave out the strong possiblity that MUO has some resources yet to be discovered. It’s a great site. I’m a reader too.

Regards,
Art

Use Weebly. It’s free, has professional features, a drag and drop editor, and the ability to integrate your own domain name (you have to pay for that last one, though). Not only that, but you can theme your website easily.
