Michael Langham asks:
I use Chrome and truly enjoy the ease of search the SearchO extension from Diigo allows. Is there a similar add-on available for Firefox? The ability to select a word or phrase, the right [control]-click for searching within any one of many search engines is sweet.

Hello, I do not think there is add-on similar to SearchO for Firefox. If you are insterested, you could try the following workaround. It works on Firefox 9.0.1:
– download the add to Search Bar add on for firefox:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/add-to-search-bar/
– restart firefox
– navigate to SearchO site: http://www.searcho.com/
– on search bar of SearchO, right click on mouse and click
– on options that pop up, select add to Search Bar option
– click on ok
– now it is just a matter of setting searchO as your default search engine
– voila you can use searchO in firefox
Let me know how it goes.
Research word :
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/research-word
Works on older versions of firefox 3.6.
Use portable firefox or epic browser to make it work.
Or ask the developer to make it compatible with firefox 9.
Here is the addon compatible to firefox 9.Restartless context search :
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/restartless-context-search
It searches from the context menu within the available search englines. So if you want more options, use this addon also:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/add-to-search-bar
(Still, Research word is the best for firefox, and somehow I am using it on firefox 9. try portable version.)
