December 8, 2011Not all phones charge through their data connection, and not all USB ports provide enough power to those phones that can. Try pluggin your phone into the wall outlet *charger* that was no doubt provided with your phone when you bought it.

December 8, 2011you can try to charge the battery on another Samsung GT-S 5253 and plug it back into yours, then you can see if the problem comes from the usb connectivity of your phone.
