so should be safe, myself didn’t tried it, so it is your decision.

It should be safe to remove them. The general way to do so is:
Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features > “Turn Windows features on or off”
The XPS Printer and Viewer entires should be at the bottom of the list. Uncheck them and click OK.
Yes, it’s completely safe. This is just a virtual device that creates XPS files (sort of like Microsoft’s version of PDF) when you print to it.
You can use Mike’s method or right-click the device and select Remove Device. You can add it again later, if you really need it.
Like Chris, I will just right-click on it and select Remove Device.
Done this on several computers and no problem so far.
