Can two running laptops share screens?

I have two laptops. One has Windows 7 and the other has Windows Vista. Is it possible to share the screens as if one was a secondary monitor/desktop extension?

    this sounds great but is there another similar program that is completely free?

    I think you might be looking for remote desktop software, such as TeamViewer (my favorite).

      this sounds really great and it is awesome that it is free. is it possible to drag windows between computers so that the other computer can then use it
