How can I run downloaded flash games with Flash Player?

Athy asks:

I have downloaded Chaos Faction 2 from MediaFire. How can I run the .swf file on Adobe Flash Player?
(Note: I have quite a new version of Flash, but I don’t remember it’s version)

it is official but old version.

I use Adobe’s Flash Player Projector (aka standalone) version.

Here’s the direct download link to the latest player (v 11.1):http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/updaters/11/flashplayer_11_sa_32bit.exe

You can choose to “Always open…” .swf files with this player. :)
