I have created a number of mailboxes on my Mac to store eMail that I want to save in them. One of the folders is called Internet Orders.
A couple of months ago Mailbox had a lot of missing eMails in. Then
discovered there was another mailbox there with the missing eMails. The other day I went to check an old folder and there were only eMails from April till present. I had several years of eMails in this mailbox.
I did a search for Internet Orders mailbox in Mail, but nothing came up. Is there a way to retrieve this mailbox and its contents?

Nancy,
I don’t have a Mac and hence no experience with Mailbox. However, maybe Mailbox does the same thing Thunderbird does and stores its eMails in text files. I explained how to recover deleted eMail in Thunderbird. Maybe you can follow these steps in Mailbox. It may be nothing, but give it a try.
I also searched Google for you. Within the first page, it came up with three articles that may help. You may want to search a little further yourself.

Good luck!
Hi Tina, Thanks so much for answering. I really appreciate it. I get to be a nervous wreck when something goes wrong. I didn’t delete the mailbox, it just disappeared. However, going to the articles you suggested I was eventually able to find a way to do it. A way that should have been very obvious to me. thanks so much for your help.
It helped me to focus and find a solution. I now have all my old internet orders back.
Glad I could help Nancy.
Nancy. Can you tell us what you did? I have the same problem and can’t find a solution. Thanks.
