How can I restore my shortcuts in Windows 7?

I was trying to get a program open and I used Open. I changed the *.Ink to open the application and forgot to uncheck the Always Open With option. Now, I can’t use any of my shortcuts. I know I should have done a backup as soon as I got my system, but it doesn’t seem to like any of the CD’s I’ve tried to use for backup. Is there any way for me to fix my *.Ink files?

This question has been asked several times in this site.  The common answer is the one on the following link:

If for some reason that doesn't work for you, you can try the steps on following link:

    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-system/shortcuts-lnk-default-is-changed-help/55bdb6b9-4ba4-46a7-8044-4c29852a3b86

Or, you can use the same process you used to set the icons to .lnk. Just that this time make sure to uncheck the Always Open With option. This would take a little bit of time because it would have to be done one by one.
