How can I remove the ‘recent activity’ status update on Facebook?

NeedToKnow asks:

When I look to see how my Facebook profile looks to ‘public’, it has ‘is now using Android’ on my recent activity, but when I go onto my profile to delete it, it’s nowhere to be found.

I don’t want everyone to know when I switch phones. How can I remove this ‘recent activity’?

If you can’t find it in the recent activity list or activity log of timeline then,
I think it is supposed to be like this,
one of the public updates which you cant see in the recent activity but others can ?

Profile> recent activity (left side below your friends) > all> (now, find the date when you first started using the device on FB. Click remove on right side of dialogue box
