How can I remove the display of boxes around links in MakeUseOf PDF Guides?

First of all, thanks for making the guides available. They are useful and valued resources.

How can I eliminate ruled boxes around links when viewing the guide PDFs in Mac OS X Preview or Skim? Those link boxes do not appear if the same document is viewed in Adobe Acrobat or Reader.

I'm afraid that's a known issue with OSX Preview, and there doesn't seem to be a solution as far as I can tell.

We're aware of this, and there's nothing we can do so long as we use Microsoft Word to create the guides. We're working on replacing Word, however, so hopefully this will stop for upcoming guides.

OSX Lion doesn't have this problem anymore so it seems like Apple did upgrade it's PDF integration.

From what I remember on a previous topic regarding this issue it was also dependent on the software used "write" the PDF. If I recall correctly Acrobat worked fine while some ghostscript based writers showed this issue.
