How can I remove contacts from my BlackBerry Bold 9790?

When I created a new email account in my BlackBerry (version Bold 9790) using my gmail ID, it automatically synced all the contacts in Gmail to my phone contacts list. I have now removed my gmail account, but all the contacts added still remains. Does any one know how to get rid of this bulk of contacts and keep only my phone contacts?

If that doesn’t work, you can try the Desktop Manager software on your computer to try to delete contacts.
