Why am I seeing a regedit.exe error code when updating Windows Vista?

Error Code !!OXCO190036!!610/91797(regedit.exe). Just bought laptop, during Windows Vista update got error code and can not find info on error! Laptop is used and I’m confused! Please help. Thanks!

    Try cleaning your history, cookies, cache, temp. files. Here is a link how:

    You could try running the chkdsk command. Here is how:

    Try using the System File checker tool. SFC scans all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with correct Microsoft versions. Here is a link about how to use it:

    After cleaning cookies, temp. files, etc, restart computer and try to do the updates that are failing. If you still find you can not download the update try to hide it until you find the reason you are getting the error. Hope that helps.

    Well which update that canoy be installed correctly, look for it then go microsoft update uninstall that update that males this problem, reboot and try again. Alternatively you can install it manually.

    To fix regedit downlad fixwin and launch it then go to system tools and click on Enable registry editor. Also there are many usefull repair options inside.

    try to disable firewall and antivirus and reinstall the update.
