How can I recover a text message from my iPhone 3 that I accidentally deleted?

Assuming it hasn’t already been overwritten, you should read the answer from Pegasus in this question: http://www.makeuseof.com/answers/recover-deleted-files-iphone-3/

The only other way to recover such things is to jailbreak your iPhone3 and use an app for Cydia, which is $6.99 and there’s no guarantee it will work, because of the possibility of the file being overwritten when you attempt to recover it.
