where do you try to log into Facebook with a username?
On the website, you log in using your Email address.
If you forgot your password, you can retrieve it as long as you remember the Email address you used to sign up for Facebook. Click on the ‘Forgot your password?’ link and choose one of the options provided. Did you try that?
i’ve done that but i have forgot the question and answer they ask you.

March 7, 2011if you’ve had your browser remember the password for you then,
Firefox as example.
1)Click on Tools, Options and then in the Security tab click on the Saved Passwords… button:
2)This lists all the sites for which Firefox has saved your password. You can narrow it down by typing “Facebook” in the Search box as I’ve done here.
3)Click on Show Passwords.

If you forgot your password, try to reset it. Follow the advice above. You need to have access to one of the email accounts registered with your Facebook account.

September 22, 2011The “Forgot Password” link is not useful for resetting passwords, because all it sends you is an “instant login” email. It lets you back into your account, but it’s still necessary to have the old password to reset the password to something you remember.

Go onto your profile from a friends account and look at your conact details …. find your email then request a new password!
